The National Lottery one? We’d be absolutely thrilled, but no.
We have been awarded the prize for Best Casting Direction in National Advertising at the APDICE Awards. And we are especially thrilled because this recognition comes from our fellow professionals.
The APDICE Awards were founded in 2025 to bring visibility to the work of casting direction and to highlight a craft that remains deeply artisanal, even in an era when everything seems to be moving faster and faster.
This profession demands a great deal of dedication and commitment. It requires personal sacrifices, financial juggling, late-night frustrations, and under-eye bags down to our ankles. But it also gives us something immense in return: the chance to help ensure that the stories we tell reflect the quality of our industry and our commitment to diverse, authentic, and respectful representation for everyone, both in front of and behind the camera.
We deeply believe in the power of finding the right person for each story. And we also believe that casting can help build narratives that are more honest, richer, and more connected to the reality we live in.
It has been an honor to share a nomination with such titans of casting direction. To everyone at APDICE, thank you so much for this recognition. You have given us an incredible gift.
We’d also like to wish you a peaceful summer, spent happily wherever feels most restful and refreshing to you.
We’ll keep being here, looking for extraordinary people to tell stories. And we look forward to the III APDICE Awards next year, to share another lovely moment with our colleagues and celebrate our profession, in the hope that other associations and academies will soon join the cause.
